Hi, I'm Michael and I love running and enjoy covering long distances. I work as an IT developer at NeuRA. I have been working at NeuRA for more than ten years. I started as a research assistant and then moved across into IT.
I have a genuine passion for supporting neuroscience research as my uncle battled with Parkinson’s disease for many years before passing away, and my grandmother is currently living with dementia. I understand the emotional burden that a neurodegenerative disease places on a family and feel inspired to support NeuRA and the work of its researchers.
I'm participating in the NeuRA Big Run to help raise much needed funds for Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) Research.
Please help me raise funds for FTD research at NeuRA by giving generously.
Here are some facts about Dementia:
Individuals over the age of 65 years represent the fastest growing segment of the general population. This rise is accompanied by an increase in dementia cases. Dementia is a major cause of dependency, increased health care costs and early death.
